Nihon Falcom has published its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year (October to December 2025). As reported by GameBiz<\/a>, the developer saw large-scale year-on-year growth in both revenue and profit, attributed largely to the successful release of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter <\/strong>back in September.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue was up 150.7%, while operating profit went up 670.4% compared to the previous year. Against the success, Nihon Falcom currently has seven titles in development<\/a>, including Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter \u2013 a sequel to the remake series, and the recently unveiled Kyoto Xanadu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nihon\u00a0Falcom\u00a0also reported significant success in its licensing business in the past quarter (up 218.3% year-on-year), owed to the international\u00a0versions\u00a0of\u00a0several Trails\u00a0and Ys series\u00a0entries.\u00a0Going forward, the company will release the\u00a0global\u00a0versions\u00a0of Ys X: Proud Nordics (February 20, 2026),\u00a0and Ys Memoire:\u00a0Revelations in\u00a0Celceta\u00a0(April 2026).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the impressive growth figures, Nihon\u00a0Falcom\u00a0is staying conservative with its forecast for the full fiscal year. The company has not\u00a0announced\u00a0any\u00a0revisions\u00a0yet, citing\u00a0that\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0currently difficult to predict sales figures for\u00a0Kyoto Xanadu, which will\u00a0release\u00a0in the second half of the fiscal year.\u00a0It seems the developer\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0yet have a clear image of how the title will perform.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
