Their traumas take the form of words, which you can type out to heal their emotional wounds.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of each patient\u2019s subconscious lies a Boss Trauma, which guards a powerful core memory called the \u201cFinal Word\u201d.&nbsp;Only by defeating the boss and typing out the Final Word&nbsp;can you get your&nbsp;patient&nbsp;to confront the truth about themselves and (hopefully) return to a stable mental state.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pain&nbsp;Pain&nbsp;Go&nbsp;Away!\u2019s&nbsp;anime art style is a stark contrast to its serious and sometimes dark subject matter. It also&nbsp;has&nbsp;multiple difficulty levels for players&nbsp;with&nbsp;different typing speeds.&nbsp;Developed and published by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Lorebard_info?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lorebard<\/a>, the game is set to release this year on Windows (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/3127750\/Pain_Pain_Go_Away\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>). Once&nbsp;you\u2019ve got&nbsp;a good understanding of them, a typing sequence allows you to rewrite their mind using specific keywords. Typing out the keywords turns their BUGs into flowers, leaving them as harmless as a newborn baby.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game&nbsp;has been in&nbsp;early access&nbsp;since April 2023, with the developers at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VODKA_demo?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VODKAdemo?<\/a>&nbsp;constantly improving it and adding new chapters&nbsp;(they just released chapter six). While the&nbsp;art style and soundtrack seem&nbsp;cute&nbsp;enough,&nbsp;it&nbsp;covers some&nbsp;grim&nbsp;topics, including themes of depression, mental illness, and suicide.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mindhack&nbsp;is available on Windows and macOS (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1727210\/MINDHACK\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>).&nbsp;A free demo is also available.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those were four\u00a0indie games that will\u00a0(hopefully) put your mind at ease.
