Its purpose\u00a0is to yield high performance even on lower-end or embedded hardware,\u00a0with tasks such as\u00a0running 3D graphics and interactive UI\u00a0elements\u00a0via in-vehicle systems\u00a0being\u00a0easy\u00a0to execute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four key features are currently being&nbsp;showcased&nbsp;on&nbsp;Flourite\u2019s&nbsp;official webpage:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1387\" height=\"775\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1387px) 100vw, 1387px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260209-56589-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56593\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260209-56589-001.jpg 1387w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260209-56589-001-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/20260209-56589-001-768x429.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first is a high-performance&nbsp;Entity&nbsp;Component&nbsp;System&nbsp;(ECS)&nbsp;core, which is written in C++ to&nbsp;squeeze out as much performance and create room for optimization for weaker hardware.&nbsp;At the same time,&nbsp;it allows&nbsp;devs&nbsp;to&nbsp;use Dart and higher-level game tools, so they can transfer knowledge from other game engines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second\u00a0is\u00a0model-defined trigger touch zones, which allow digital artists to\u00a0set\u00a0up\u201cclickable\u201d areas\u00a0inside\u00a0graphics software tools like\u00a0Blender and assign them to trigger certain actions.\u00a0Developers can just\u00a0hook\u00a0up the click events\u00a0to whatever behavior they want,\u00a0\u00a0making\u00a03D interface\u00a0building\u00a0a lot simpler. It also\u00a0lets\u00a0end-users\u00a0interact with objects and controls in a\u00a0more\u00a0intuitive way.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third is console-grade 3D rendering,&nbsp;which&nbsp;is powered by Google\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/google.github.io\/filament\/dup\/intro.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Filament<\/a>&nbsp;renderer and uses&nbsp;modern, console-grade&nbsp;graphics APIs to make games look prettier.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1395\" height=\"773\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1395px) 100vw, 1395px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image_2026-02-09_190048999.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56594\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image_2026-02-09_190048999.png 1395w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image_2026-02-09_190048999-380x211.png 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image_2026-02-09_190048999-768x426.png 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last is support for Flutter\u2019s Hot Reload feature, which allows developers to update their scenes and quickly see&nbsp;changes in just a few frames. This allows teams to confirm their&nbsp;edits&nbsp;and&nbsp;iteratioons&nbsp;faster, speeding up the game development&nbsp;process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to\u00a0a February 1 presentation at\u00a0the\u00a0Free and Open Source Software Developers&#8217; European Meeting\u00a0(FOSDEM) 2026 in Brussels,\u00a0Toyota Connected North America\u00a0considered different game engines to use for its future automotive device 3D displays (source:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespark.jp\/article\/2026\/02\/09\/162541.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Game*Spark<\/a>). After\u00a0learning\u00a0that\u00a0prominent\u00a0engines\u00a0in the market\u00a0(such as Unity)\u00a0come with high licensing fees or\u00a0are too resource-intensive, they decided to create a game engine of their own.
