In addition to\u00a0expanding\u00a0story developments and merchandise, Netflix will exclusively\u00a0and simultaneously\u00a0stream\u00a0MAPPA\u2019s\u00a0current and upcoming\u00a0anime titles\u00a0in over 190 countries\u00a0worldwide.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the announcement, more than half of Netflix\u2019s total subscribers&nbsp;watch&nbsp;anime, with viewership tripling over the last five years.&nbsp;This partnership aims to meet the&nbsp;global&nbsp;demand&nbsp;for anime, which is&nbsp;rapidly increasing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1514\" height=\"850\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1514px) 100vw, 1514px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/20260121-55958-001.jpg\" alt=\"Jujutsu Kaisen\" class=\"wp-image-55962\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/20260121-55958-001.jpg 1514w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/20260121-55958-001-380x213.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/20260121-55958-001-768x431.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>MAPPA&nbsp;president and CEO&nbsp;Manabu Otsuka&nbsp;had a few words to say:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have worked with Netflix on various projects in the past, but this expanded partnership is based on MAPPA\u2019s core belief in being an independent studio \u2014 both creatively and in business.
