Dynamis One, a South Korean game studio formed by former\u00a0Nexon employees, is developing a new game following the cancellation\u00a0of its controversial\u00a0Project KV.\u00a0This was revealed through\u00a0an\u00a0announcement<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0domestic\u00a0publisher\u00a0NCSoft\u00a0on January 15.\u00a0Reportedly, NCSoft\u00a0has decided to invest in\u00a0the studio\u00a0and publish the\u00a0upcoming\u00a0title.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dynamis One was founded by former core team members of Blue Archive, Nexon\u2019s hit\u00a0gacha\u00a0RPG.\u00a0In 2024, they announced their new\u00a0studio\u2019s\u00a0debut game, codenamed Project KV. However, the title\u2019s development was\u00a0abruptly cancelled<\/a>\u00a0following backlash over its thematic and visual resemblances to Blue Archive.\u00a0The situation continued\u00a0to escalate from there, with Dynamis One getting\u00a0raided by police<\/a>\u00a0in February 2025\u00a0over suspicions that staff ran off with Nexon\u2019s unreleased development data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evidence secured in the search and seizure\u00a0reportedly confirmed\u00a0that before quitting, the developers engaged in embezzlement and\u00a0attempted\u00a0to compromise<\/a>\u00a0the development of\u00a0Blue Archive.\u00a0As a result, Dynamis One\u2019s CEO Park Byung-Lim and other key figures\u00a0were referred to the prosecution<\/a> without detention on suspicion of violating Korea’s Unfair Competition Prevention Act.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it seems Dynamis One has started working on a new game now, tentatively titled Project AT. According to NCSoft, the new title is a magic-themed, anime-style RPG that makes full use of Dynamis One\u2019s past experience in the genre. It seems likely that the game will be targeted towards both Korean and overseas audiences, as NCSoft states that it has secured domestic and global publishing rights. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
