This led to the January 2025 release of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/tales-of-graces-f-remastered-is-only-the-first-step-in-the-tales-of-series-remaster-project-that-will-revamp-older-titles-for-comfortable-playing-on-modern-consoles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tales of Graces f Remastered<\/a>, followed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/tales-of-series-fans-in-japan-feel-played-by-ips-publisher-criticism-intensifies-after-tales-of-xillia-remastered-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tales of Xillia Remastered<\/a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;October 2025.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/tales-of-berseria-remastered-to-use-international-censored-version-in-japan-too\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tales of Berseria Remastered<\/a>, the latest title in the Tales Remastered&nbsp;Project,&nbsp;is set to release on February 27, 2026.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1681\" height=\"937\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1681px) 100vw, 1681px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251216-55005-002.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55009\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251216-55005-002.jpg 1681w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251216-55005-002-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251216-55005-002-768x428.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251216-55005-002-1536x856.jpg 1536w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While\u00a0the Graces f,\u00a0Xillia, and\u00a0Berseria\u00a0remasters\u00a0update the twelfth, thirteenth, and sixteenth mainline\u00a0entries\u00a0respectively &#8211; which are relatively recent in the series &#8211; Tomizawa announced that future Tales of remasters will focus\u00a0on even older &#8220;classics.&#8221;\u00a0Considering how games like\u00a0Tales of Phantasia\u00a0(the first\u00a0mainline entry)\u00a0would benefit the most from\u00a0updated graphics\u00a0and modern gameplay adjustments, it\u00a0looks like\u00a0Bandai Namco Entertainment is on the right track.\u00a0At the same time,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0also worth remembering that the remaster project is <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/tales-of-remastered-projects-unusual-release-order-has-to-do-with-behind-the-scenes-complications-like-missing-source-data-producer-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prioritizing\u00a0things like\u00a0feasibility\u00a0and\u00a0source code availability\u00a0over chronological order<\/a>, so the announced \u201colder\u201d titles may not necessarily\u00a0receive the remaster treatment in order of original release.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomizawa also\u00a0briefly\u00a0commented on how much time it\u00a0takes to develop a game\u00a0now\u00a0as compared to\u00a0before, and\u00a0humbly asked fans to be patient while\u00a0the team\u00a0works on the next mainline\u00a0Tales\u00a0entry.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While the last three announced Tales of remasters were of relatively &#8220;recent&#8221; entries, future ones will revisit older classics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":67,"featured_media":55007,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_gspb_post_css":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[17],"class_list":["post-55005","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-japan-related-news"],"blocksy_meta":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
