Though fan anticipation for the live-action movie adaptation<\/a> of Chilla\u2019s Art\u2019s The Convenience Store<\/strong> is higher than ever with the latest trailer, the game\u2019s creators initially weren\u2019t sold on live-action adaptations in general. After watching the completed film, however, Chilla\u2019s Art admit that it \u201cpleasantly defied\u201d their expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an official press release, the two brothers who make up Chilla\u2019s Art stated that the film \u201ccarefully preserves the game’s atmosphere and sense of dread while weaving a new story unique to cinema\u201d (source: Famitsu<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
