After communicating with Steam officials, an issue preventing the game\u2019s release was encountered that could not be resolved with the current version.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to NEOWIZ\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.browndust2.com\/en-us\/news\/view?id=9542\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official statement<\/a>, the studio \u201cconsidered multiple options to make the release possible.\u201d While there is no detailed explanation provided, it appears that conforming to <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/steam-rules-updated-to-prohibit-content-that-violates-rules-set-forth-by-payment-processors-and-banks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam\u2019s updated guidelines<\/a> (likely those about banning content that violates the rules of the platform\u2019s affiliated payment processors and internet network providers) would have caused unintended adjustments to Brown Dust 2, potentially altering its identity.
