But among them,&nbsp;<strong>Mobile Suit Gundam&nbsp;GQuuuuuuX<\/strong>&nbsp;stands out \u2013 an impressive 20% of the&nbsp;entire list&nbsp;comes from terms related to the anime&nbsp;(as spotted by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.denfaminicogamer.jp\/news\/2511202d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Denfaminicogamer<\/a>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 100 words on&nbsp;Dwango&nbsp;and Pixiv\u2019s&nbsp;list are selected based on page-view statistics from online platforms Nico&nbsp;Nico&nbsp;Pedia&nbsp;and Pixiv Encyclopedia, which is why Japanese people consider&nbsp;them a bit more authentic than buzzword rankings published by mainstream media.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But coming back to Gundam&nbsp;GQuuuuuuX,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;no secret that&nbsp;the&nbsp;Studio Khara-produced&nbsp;anime&nbsp;has been&nbsp;successful in&nbsp;Japan, the hype starting&nbsp;all the way back in January&nbsp;when&nbsp;its theatrical&nbsp;pre-release&nbsp;version premiered. But aside from being a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/despite-mixed-reactions-gundam-gquuuuuux-was-a-huge-commercial-success-according-to-bandai-namco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">huge financial success for Bandai Namco<\/a>, the anime \u2013 with all its&nbsp;bold references and reinterpretations of 1979\u2019s original Mobile Suit Gundam, also&nbsp;did&nbsp;a good job&nbsp;of being the only thing anyone talked about&nbsp;every time a new episode aired.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1435\" height=\"715\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1435px) 100vw, 1435px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/20251121-54176-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/20251121-54176-001.jpg 1435w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/20251121-54176-001-380x189.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/20251121-54176-001-768x383.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyperbole&nbsp;aside,&nbsp;the 100 nominees for Japan\u2019s most viral buzzwords in 2025&nbsp;contain&nbsp;20 Gundam&nbsp;GQuuuuuuX-related words, which is more than any other single title or franchise featured.
