Following Time Extension\u2019s<\/a> recent interview with former Konami executive Christopher Bergstresser, news broke about Hideo Kojima being approached by the Wachowskis to make a video game adaption of The Matrix \u2013 \u00a0an offer that fell through with a single \u201cno\u201d from Konami. The idea of the world losing out on\u00a0a Matrix game directed by the creator of Metal Gear Solid has been pretty devastating for a lot of people, but Kojima himself has also reacted to the topic in light of recent reports.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shockingly, Kojima says that it\u2019s his first time even hearing about such an offer being made. \u201cIn all these 26 years, no one ever told me such a conversation had taken place,\u201d he wrote on X. While Kojima and the Wachowskis were mutual fans who exchanged letters and even met up three times, there was no offer for a Matrix game made directly to Kojima or in his presence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
