Australia, Canada, New Zealand and EU join the UK and US"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pixiv have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pixiv.net\/info.php?id=12847\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> that they will be expanding the list of applicable regions for their region-based content restrictions. In addition to the United Kingdom and the United States, member states of the EU will be subject to content restrictions starting October 2025, and Australia, Canada and New Zealand starting November 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes a year and a half after the first batch of <a href=\"https:\/\/pixiv1.app.box.com\/s\/p6mu7vlhnzbbko3kosozjq657hr7576d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cRestrictions for Healthy Expression in Specific Countries and Regions\u201d<\/a> was brought into effect in the United Kingdom and United States. The contents of the restrictions remain roughly the<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/pixiv-to-impose-restrictions-on-us-and-uk-users-targeting-obscene-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> same as the ones announced in 2024<\/a>, but are consolidated rather than separated for each affected country. This means that all clauses will apply across all regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">On November 10, 2025, we will update our Terms of Use and expand the list of countries and regions subject to content restrictions.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SDDarDI6t0\">https:\/\/t.co\/SDDarDI6t0<\/a><br><br>Please check your location settings and ensure you have read and agreed to the updated terms before using the service.<\/p>&mdash; pixiv (@pixiv) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pixiv\/status\/1982697523971231999?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 27, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As explained in the new \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/pixiv1.app.box.com\/s\/p6mu7vlhnzbbko3kosozjq657hr7576d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Restrictions for Healthy Expression in Specific Countries and Regions<\/a>,\u201d this update of Pixiv\u2019s Terms of Service was made in order to \u201ccomply with the various laws and regulations applicable in the country or region\u201d where their services are being used.
