South Korean police recently referred Blue Archive\u2019s<\/strong> former co-director Byeong-lim Park and several other ex-Nexon staff to the prosecution, as reported by Yonhap News Agency<\/a> on October 17. Park and his associates, who founded the new game company Dynamis One shortly after leaving Nexon, are suspected of violating unfair competition laws by allegedly running off with development assets of an unreleased game that was in the works during their time at the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in September 2024, Dynamis One announced its first title, Project KV. However, the game was cancelled almost immediately<\/a> after drawing controversy over alleged plagiarism of Blue Archive\u2019s art, setting and designs. This ultimately led to a police raid of Dynamis One\u2019s offices<\/a> in February 2025, after which Nexon claimed it had secured evidence<\/a> of the former employees systematically leaking development data while still at the company, engaging in embezzlement, and \u201cmaking specific plans to cause damage to Blue Archive and its future development in order to succeed in their own projects.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dynamis One, who was accused of stealing and using assets from Nexon\u2019s unannounced MX Blade in their new game, denied the allegations at the time, but it seems that enough evidence was found to officially refer the case to the prosecution for further action. Park and other accused members of Dynamis One were summoned without detention.\u00a0In a statement to GameMeca<\/a>, a representative of the company commented that Dynamis One will “faithfully cooperate in the ensuing legal proceedings.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
