These crossover projects\u00a0will include new cosmetics and content, all of which are designed to align with The First Descendant\u2019s aesthetic and gameplay.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The First Descendant x Bayonetta Collaboration Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p9b0DThpjBw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespark.jp\/article\/2025\/09\/30\/157882.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Game*Spark<\/a>, producer Beom-jun Lee and director Min-seok Joo talked about their criteria for deciding The First Descendant\u2019s collaborations. Aside from being popular, a crossover IP must also share The First Descendant\u2019s \u201cstrong sense of speed and action.\u201d While these criteria hold true for the game\u2019s NieR: Automata and Bayonetta collaborations, it just so happens that the developers were also big fans of these IPs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee and Joo also touched upon the looter shooter\u2019s signature sexy costumes, explaining how they derive sex appeal from the characters\u2019 basic premise or characteristics.\u00a0\u201cFor example, take the popular Bunny Descendant. The initial concept for the character was simply \u2018someone who can run fast.\u2019 From there, we thought \u2018That gives off a rabbit-like image.\u2019 Once we pass that kind of concept and vision to our designers, they really refine it in incredible detail.
