However, its initial sales did not quite meet expectations, as stated by Square Enix in subsequent investor briefings. The game\u2019s momentum seemed to pick up again with the PC version\u2019s launch earlier this year, but how is FFVII Rebirth performing commercially now? AUTOMATON recently asked director Naoki Hamaguchi, who gave some reassuring insights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH - PC Launch Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LqfW01W4Md8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe second entry, FFVII Rebirth, has been doing very well on both PS5 and PC. I know some fans have expressed concerns, but please rest assured, we\u2019ll be able to deliver a proper, high-quality third installment.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hamaguchi also says that work on the next title is progressing smoothly. \u201cDevelopment is going extremely well, and the game is shaping up nicely. A lot of the content is already playable, and the game\u2019s direction and form are firmly set in place.
