Following <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/japanese-monster-hunter-wilds-streamer-apologizes-to-capcom-after-publicly-implying-the-game-bricked-his-expensive-pc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">numerous fan complaints<\/a>, the upcoming Free Title Update 4 (which is set to release this winter) will include several improvements for PC players.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">To our hunters playing <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MHWilds?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MHWilds<\/a> on PC, we&#39;re committed to listening to your feedback and improving both performance and stability of the game. <br><br>Although we will continue to implement gradual improvements in the weeks ahead, we are targeting Free Title Update 4 this winter to\u2026<\/p>&mdash; Monster Hunter (@monsterhunter) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/monsterhunter\/status\/1957473035885121806?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 18, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Free Title Update 4\u2019s PC improvements include CPU and GPU-related optimization fixes, followed by a second stage of mitigation measures to ensure everything is working as intended. These fixes are designed to address the issues PC players are experiencing, including crashes, low frame rates, gameplay stability, and overall CPU, GPU, and RAM usage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1432\" height=\"805\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1432px) 100vw, 1432px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/20240119-51185-001jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/20240119-51185-001jpg.jpg 1432w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/20240119-51185-001jpg-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/20240119-51185-001jpg-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While these issues have been addressed (sort of) in previous patches, it looks like the developers are going all-in with PC optimization this time around. Looking at the current roadmap, Free Title Update 4 will only include one additional monster and <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/monster-hunter-wilds-update-expands-endgame-content-and-ups-the-difficulty-with-new-9-star-tempered-monsters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more challenging hunts<\/a>. With no planned weapon adjustments or reward systems, perhaps more time will be spent optimizing the game.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This doesn\u2019t mean that there will be no optimization updates until Free Title Update 4 drops. Monster Hunter Wilds will still receive what Capcom calls \u201cgradual improvements\u201d in the coming weeks, with the bigger fixes coming in the winter.
