Although the report cited significant quarterly increases in revenue (up 54% year-on-year) and operating profit (up 91% year-on-year), Capcom saw its share price plummet (down 9.45%)&nbsp;on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as soon as trading started on the morning of July 31.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamebiz.jp\/news\/409970\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GameBiz.jp<\/a> points out that the sharp decline was likely due to market concerns caused by Monster Hunter Wilds\u2019 lower-than-expected sales. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capcom.co.jp\/ir\/english\/data\/pdf\/explanation\/2025\/1st\/explanation_2025_1st_01.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sales data presentation<\/a> from Capcom&#8217;s earnings report shows that the new game sold 477k copies between April 1 and June 30, which the company described as \u201csoft\u201d performance. By comparison, 2021\u2019s Monster Hunter Rise sold 389k units during the same period. Capcom has <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/monsterhunter\/status\/1950139099160949156\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pushed forward content updates<\/a> originally planned for later in the year to give players incentive to keep hunting, but with optimization issues largely persisting at the time of writing, the game is stuck with an Overwhelmingly Negative rating on <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2246340\/Monster_Hunter_Wilds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>.
