From offline events and merch to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/hCCBk6TD784?feature=shared\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lavish orchestral concerts<\/a>, the developers have put a great emphasis on expanding the IP beyond the game itself, particularly in Asia. Funnily enough, these efforts have created a state of \u201cmarketing inflation\u201d that makes it tricky to figure out what to do next.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the recently held Nexon Developers Conference 2025 in Korea, NIKKE\u2019s director Hyung-seok Yoo held a lecture titled \u201cHow did Goddess of Victory: NIKKE become a successful IP?\u201d As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespark.jp\/article\/2025\/07\/24\/155370.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Game*Spark<\/a>, Yoo talked at length about Shift Up\u2019s PR strategies for the game. Some of these have been very extravagant \u2013 like having an artist paint an <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/goddess-of-victory-nikke-artist-spends-total-of-20-hours-underwater-hand-painting-elaborate-anniversary-mural\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enormous underwater mural over the course of 20 hours.<\/a> Even more astonishingly, the studio has sent NIKKE into orbit. For the game\u2019s second anniversary in 2024, Shift Up delivered a message from the game\u2019s popular character Cinderella through a satellite monitor in outer space.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE | A Human Fairy Tale Written Among The Stars\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gOTmNkrcYLs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The footage of Cinderella in space was livestreamed to fans in a broadcast on October 26, with audio of her voice added in post-production. Moreover, the satellite also displayed messages submitted by players, so some lucky people got to see their own usernames and words shown in outer space.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These kinds of initiatives have drawn a lot of positive feedback from NIKKE\u2019s playerbase, who admire the passion Shift Up has shown towards the mobile game and its worldbuilding. On the other hand, after doing so much, the dev team seems to be a bit worried about hitting a ceiling.
