The Pok\u00e9mon Company held a Pok\u00e9mon Sleep<\/strong> anniversary event titled \u201cFUN SLEEP FEST: Wake Up with Excitement\u201d on July 16 in Tokyo, Japan. The event celebrates Pok\u00e9mon Sleep’s second anniversary and marks the title’s achievement of a Guinness World Record for the most downloaded sleep game app<\/a>. In addition to the anniversary and award festivities, game statistics revealed at the event showed an improvement in player sleeping habits, particularly in Japan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Pok\u00e9mon Company COO and CEO Takato Utsunomiya, Pok\u00e9mon Sleep has been downloaded over 28 million times and recorded over 1 billion sleep sessions (source: Denfaminicogamer<\/a>) to date. Data from seven major countries (Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, America, Italy, and Japan) were collated and compared to each other, and respective sleep time averages for 2025 were also compared to previous years.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Germany still ranks the highest<\/a> when it comes to average sleep time (7 hours and 49 minutes between 2024 and 2025), Japan has seen a remarkable improvement. The average sleep time of a Pok\u00e9mon Sleep player in Japan rose from 6 hours and 38 minutes between 2023 and 2024 to 7 hours and 10 minutes between 2024 and 2025. Though Japan still has the lowest average sleep time among all the recorded countries, the extra 30 minutes of sleep go a long way towards overall player health and productivity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utsunomiya is pleased to discover the positive impact that Pok\u00e9mon Sleep has on players, as it helps them enjoy making a habit of getting a good night\u2019s sleep. He says the wealth of data taken from Pok\u00e9mon Sleep will be used to research ways to further improve sleeping habits<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
