Bushiroad and Eighting\u2019s 2D fighting game Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact<\/strong> recently entered its 48-hour Early Access release window. Players who got to take the 3v3 arena fighter for a spin before the full release on July 17 have praised its combat and fun mechanics, but many have been reporting issues related to rollback netcode that significantly compromise online play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact\u2019s developers addressed these concerns in an announcement<\/a> on July 16. The team says it has identified two major issues that it\u2019s currently working on resolving, the first being abnormal increases in rollback frames that cause input delays and visual lag. While the devs are working out an actual fix, they advise players to use as stable an internet connection as possible, as the issue is more likely to occur under unstable network conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second major issue is Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact\u2019s matches being terminated unexpectedly due to desynchronization errors. Eighting is investigating the root cause of these occurrences and will be implementing fixes as soon as they\u2019re available. The developers apologize for the issues and ask players to be patient as they work on solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact was originally supposed to release in 2024, but the launch was delayed to 2025<\/a> in order to implement rollback netcode. Since the absence of rollback is a dealbreaker for many gamers, the decision to delay the game was welcomed as good news. However, it seems that the developers will need some extra time to work out remaining issues impacting online matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
