Hanada says NOVECT has nearly exhausted all of its resources and is on the verge of being in the red.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Amazing news! Game devs are insane. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JcwJXBUvos\">https:\/\/t.co\/JcwJXBUvos<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \u7e39\u3051\u3044\u304b\/Hanada Keika (@hanadakeika) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hanadakeika\/status\/1944227180973830570?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 13, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>NOVECT is a Japanese studio known for the <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/it-used-to-sell-only-70-copies-a-month-the-house-in-fata-morgana-creator-touched-as-the-game-sells-10000-copies-in-a-single-week-years-after-launch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The House of Fata Morgana franchise<\/a> and more recently the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1909810\/Seventh_Lair\/?curator_clanid=42550212\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Seventh Lair<\/a> visual novel. Rather than banking on previous IPs, NOVECT\u2019s next project is a new property tentatively titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/the-house-in-fata-morgana-author-shares-exciting-update-on-their-next-game-its-going-to-be-my-masterpiece\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Project Code M<\/a>,\u201d which is set to be a murder mystery adventure game told from the dual perspectives of both the detective and killer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NOVECT New Game, Project Code Name \u201cM\u201d Teaser Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H-MKBosBHn4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Project Code M has been in development for at least three years. It seems that because of the lengthy development time and NOVECT\u2019s status as an indie studio, funding for the project is currently running low.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon hearing the news of NOVECT\u2019s financial uncertainty, several fans of Hanada and his games have rallied to the studio\u2019s support. Calls to crowdfund the project have been <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hanadakeika\/status\/1944245012923134232\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">turned down by Harada<\/a> (running a crowdfunding campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/hanadakeika\/status\/1944245259640483890\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">isn\u2019t feasible for the studio\u2019s current position<\/a>). Still, he is thankful for any donations that are sent to the NOVECT <a href=\"https:\/\/novect.fanbox.cc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pixivFANBOX<\/a> \u2013 a webpage where the studio posts regular updates, developer diaries, and downloadable artworks for supporters.
