To bring things back down to Earth, GameBanana user <a href=\"https:\/\/gamebanana.com\/members\/1911952\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">gerald616<\/a> created a mod that swaps Ronaldo\u2019s in-game model with everyone\u2019s favorite pizza-eating demon hunter, Dante from Devil May Cry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dante, Son of Sparda over Ronaldo - Fatal Fury Mod costume\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EwHwqlLAd1Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamebanana.com\/mods\/605288\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dante, Son of Sparda over Ronaldo<\/a> mod does exactly what its name implies. Using the clothing textures from the Dante model created by <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/WistfulHopes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WistfulHopes<\/a> for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite &amp; Beyond (which itself is a mod for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite), gerald616 was able to recreate the Son of Sparda in SNK\u2019s latest fighting game.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1348\" height=\"756\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1348px) 100vw, 1348px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-001.jpg\" alt=\"Christiano Ronaldo as Dante in Fatal Fury\" class=\"wp-image-49782\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-001.jpg 1348w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-001-380x213.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-001-768x431.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dante\u2019s English voice lines and theme music were lifted from Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (the mod also includes Japanese voiceovers) while the UI elements have been replaced to reflect the character\u2019s visage. To add to the authenticity, gerald616 even created four <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/fatal-fury-city-of-the-wolves-brings-christmas-early-with-its-color-edit-mode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">color options<\/a> for Dante\u2019s base appearance and five more for the alternate costume.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1347\" height=\"758\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1347px) 100vw, 1347px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-002.jpg\" alt=\"Christiano Ronaldo as Dante in Fatal Fury\" class=\"wp-image-49783\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-002.jpg 1347w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-002-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/20250707-49778-002-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As many cosmetic changes as Dante has, he still plays exactly like Ronaldo. That means no Devil Arms, guns, or Devil Trigger moves \u2013 just pure football skills and <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/fatal-fury-city-of-the-wolves-new-rev-system-was-introduced-to-make-up-for-just-defense-being-difficult-to-pull-off\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a little bit of martial arts<\/a>. Strange as it may seem, Dante\u2019s penchant for fighting demons with makeshift weapons translates quite well into football, as seeing him beat the tar out of Kain R. Heinlein with nothing but a regular sports ball is oddly satisfying.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want Dante to take the beatdown outside of Fatal Fury, Gerald 616 made several mods that swap existing fighters or other well-known pop culture personalities. Some examples include swapping Mai Shiranui for Spy x Family\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gamebanana.com\/mods\/595105\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Yor Forger<\/a> and switching Preecha for Final Fantasy VII\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gamebanana.com\/mods\/595872\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tifa Lockheart<\/a>. The strangest of all his mods has to be the one where Swedish DJ and record producer Salvatore Ganacci is swapped for Japanese Vocaloid idol <a href=\"https:\/\/gamebanana.com\/mods\/603926\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hatsune Miku<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available for the PS4\/PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Windows).&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dante still plays exactly like Ronaldo.
