The new remaster included a very bizarre yet divisive bug that has been fixed with the recent Patch 1.2.0. The bug in question turns you into a teenage homewrecker by allowing you to get a romantic confession from none other than your best friend\u2019s girlfriend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"952\" height=\"535\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 952px) 100vw, 952px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770003.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49481\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770003.jpg 952w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770003-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770003-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tokimeki Memorial is considered a classic dating sim for a reason, and it\u2019s especially known for its complexity. In the span of three years of high school, you have to balance your academic life, your free time, and also make time to see several potential crushes to get them to confess to you at the end of the game. The possibilities and the roster of girls to date spans even further from there, and if you\u2019re able to meet certain conditions, you can also have your in-game best buddy Yoshio start dating one of the girls (though he\u2019ll never take any of the girls you\u2019re aiming for).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"955\" height=\"536\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 955px) 100vw, 955px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770002.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49479\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770002.jpg 955w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770002-380x213.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770002-768x431.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, playing the remastered version of the game, many gamers encountered a glitch in which, at the end of the game, Megumi Mikihara, who was supposed to be dating Yoshio in that run, ends up confessing her love to you under the school\u2019s Tree of Legend. The bug went viral in Japan under the name \u201cMegumi Mikihara two-timing ending,\u201d and some people even commented how they don\u2019t even consider it a bug because \u201cit\u2019s something that happens in real life as well.\u201d Others felt sorry for Yoshio, who, being your best friend and guide throughout the game, obviously does not deserve to get the \u201cNTR ending.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily for some (and to great disappointment of others), Konami fixed this bug with the new patch and hopefully, this way Yoshio can get his own happy ending. Though, with so many different possibilities and numerous parameters determining how the game ends, it wouldn\u2019t be surprising if another similarly bizarre ending appeared out of nowhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"966\" height=\"541\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770001.jpg 966w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770001-380x213.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250627-494770001-768x430.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On a related note, Tokimeki Memorial: forever with you Emotional was released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Tokimeki Memorial series, and it\u2019s a Switch-exclusive remaster of the original. While the story and the characters are exactly the same as in the original, some new features are added to the game.
