The post gathered negative attention from some Tekken fans, and in response, series producer Katsuhiro Harada commented that the post was \u201cunacceptable,\u201d suggesting that he would be talking to both management about what is posted online and the development team about <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/tekken-8-fanmade-mod-is-working-to-remove-some-of-the-games-more-polarizing-elements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">improving the state of Tekken 8<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD! Despite the move being a telegraphed mid-height attack and easily sidestepped, his opponent (who plays Asuka Kazama) cannot close the distance without getting tagged. There are numerous references to the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/0RkapfBYIfc?si=cFTBvDxZeY64uWaP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">infamous video<\/a> of fighting game professional Justin Wong defeating a younger opponent in Mortal Kombat X in a similar manner, with Bandai Namco\u2019s post including Wong\u2019s \u201cWELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD! I also can&#8217;t fathom that the game&#8217;s management would officially post this. Just the idea that Tekken is being made by people like that makes me lose interest completely.<\/em><br><br><em>Katsuhiro Harada:<\/em> <em>I agree with you. This is unacceptable. I will let management know, and we will continue to improve the game too.<\/em>\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Harada\u2019s comment is a response to a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/yorusaifu\/status\/1934638853924765737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fan saying they are disgusted<\/a> that the footage was posted on the official Bandai Namco Esports X account. After seeing how \u201ccheesy\u201d some of the moves in Tekken 8 are, they seem to have lost interest in the game.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1428\" height=\"804\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1428px) 100vw, 1428px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250617-49155-001.jpg\" alt=\"Anna Williams' bazooka\" class=\"wp-image-49158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250617-49155-001.jpg 1428w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250617-49155-001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250617-49155-001-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are no rules against spamming moves in fighting game tournaments, and the footage posted by Bandai Namco shows that it is possible to win in this manner. While Atif is a professional Tekken player and was up against an unsponsored, relatively unknown opponent (Atif would go on to win first place in the tournament), this doesn\u2019t invalidate what <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/tekken-producer-katsuhiro-harada-says-tekken-8-backlash-was-justified-and-a-natural-occurrence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many regard as a low point in Tekken 8\u2019s lifespan<\/a>.
