I submitted a repair request.<\/em>\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A Japanese Switch 2 owner reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NO5killersurviv\/status\/1931205625843011674\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the left side back panel of their console was starting to come off<\/a> after two days of using the console. After contacting Nintendo, the company confirmed that it may be a swollen battery and opened an investigative case. Nintendo then asked for the console to be returned, as the swollen battery pack could become a potential fire hazard.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the swelling of a lithium-ion battery is a common occurrence, it usually presents itself after years of usage. As the Switch 2 hasn\u2019t even been out commercially for a month, this is a cause for concern. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/TaNmhUKtgzs?si=__wpldtY7E7ELlcN&amp;t=75\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Upon closer inspection<\/a>, it seems that the console\u2019s battery is nowhere near the back panel expansion areas of the two bulging Switch 2 reports.
