While the name brings to mind the mobile live-service game <em>Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator \u2013 <\/em>these two are not to be confused<em>,<\/em> as the new project&nbsp;will be a full-priced, mainline entry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist &amp; the White Guardian - First Look Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m2Y87-C8Cms?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking to Automaton, Atelier series producer Junzo Hosoi says that the new Atelier Resleriana will merely take advantage of the worldbuilding and timeline of its gacha game predecessor \u2013 other than that, it will be a fully independent game, and in terms of gameplay, it will return to the franchise\u2019s turn-based RPG roots. Interestingly, the new release will \u201cnot be directly inheriting anything from Atelier Yumia,\u201d the series\u2019 latest <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/atelier-yumias-development-scale-was-the-largest-in-the-franchises-history-according-to-koei-tecmo\/#comments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">large-scale open-world entry<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, the developers will be focusing on incorporating the feedback they received in response to it \u2013 including complaints. \u201cWe&#8217;re paying particular attention to the opinions we received immediately following Atelier Yumia\u2019s launch,\u201d Hosoi comments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"864\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1536px) 100vw, 1536px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/026_synt2-1536x864-1.webp\" alt=\"Atelier Resleriana\" class=\"wp-image-49116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/026_synt2-1536x864-1.webp 1536w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/026_synt2-1536x864-1-380x214.webp 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/026_synt2-1536x864-1-768x432.webp 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While Atelier Yumia was a big success for Gust and Koei Tecmo \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/overtaking-monster-hunter-wilds-and-assassins-creed-shadows-atelier-yumia-was-the-best-selling-steam-game-in-japan-last-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">quickly becoming the series fastest-selling title<\/a>, there were some <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/atelier-yumia-demo-motion-sickness-inducing-camera-effects-to-be-patched-out-in-full-release-says-koei-tecmo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">common issues players pointed out<\/a> in it, a major one being its (at times) violent camera motions. While Hosoi doesn\u2019t&nbsp;name specific points, he says that the team is wholeheartedly accepting all opinions \u2013 positive or negative \u2013 from players and intends to keep improving its games based on it. \u201cThe more feedback we get, the better games we can make, Hosori comments, encouraging Atelier fans to be vocal about what they like and even louder about what they dislike.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist &amp; the White Guardian launches September 26 for PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
