Kodaka, who wrote The Hundred Line\u2019s \u201ctrue route,\u201d said he will be personally taking on the role of scenario writer for the future DLC, and that he already has a few different ideas in mind. In response to inquiries by fans, he also mentioned that he would like to invite other famous game writers to work on additional routes as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250425-47447-header.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-47451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250425-47447-header.jpg 960w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250425-47447-header-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250425-47447-header-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering Too Kyo Games\u2019 precarious financial position, a lot of us were anxious about what the studio\u2019s next move after releasing The Hundred Line would be, and to that, Kodaka has confidently answered with \u201cmore content.\u201d Rather than just moving on, the development team seems determined to keep on expanding their new IP, as well as the in-game universe they\u2019ve created. \u201cI want Hundred Line to be like Shonen Jump \u2013 a single game packed with all kinds of stories. Massive in volume, with each story feeling like its own world,\u201d Kodaka explained on his <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/kazkodaka\/status\/1932967052505198922\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">X account<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019ll make it happen by boosting the sales of Hundred Line. I\u2019ll be the one writing the scenario. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2hvMnzyJqa\">https:\/\/t.co\/2hvMnzyJqa<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Kazutaka kodaka\/\u5c0f\u9ad8\u548c\u525b (@kazkodaka) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kazkodaka\/status\/1932616614677262484?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 11, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hundred Line started as quite a<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/the-hundred-line-last-defense-academy-has-a-bigger-word-count-than-any-of-kodakas-past-games-which-is-making-translation-into-additional-languages-a-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> financially risky project<\/a>, with the developers going in debt to make the<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/the-hundred-line-last-defense-academys-script-is-long-enough-to-print-60-paperback-novels-kodaka-reveals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> 60-novels-long script<\/a> and 100 endings a reality. However, if it makes enough money, the project seems like it will reach a whole new level of ambitious. \u201cI want to expand the story of Hundred Line and create an overwhelmingly huge labyrinth of scenarios. Something truly unique,\u201d he says in <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/kazkodaka\/status\/1929718532637708607\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">another one of his X posts<\/a>. Fans have noticed that, coincidentally, Ryukishi07, creator of When They Cry visual novel series, will also be there \u2013 encouraging Kodaka to ask him to write a DLC route for The Hundred Line. Kodaka replied that he would love to collaborate with other writers in the future, that is, if enough funding is secured.
