While you might assume this was Arc System Works\u2019 (ArcSys) doing from the get-go, it was actually Marvel Studios that suggested ArcSys put its own spin on the formula.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1056\" height=\"593\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1056px) 100vw, 1056px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-001.jpg\" alt=\"Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls \" class=\"wp-image-48754\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-001.jpg 1056w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-001-380x213.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-001-768x431.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the title\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nZxxPHqFFnY?si=H_pODH2O7wbjc1cr&amp;t=174\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first behind-the-scenes video<\/a>, Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls producer Takeshi Yamanaka reveals that ArcSys\u2019s initial designs for the game were Western-inspired and more in line with the traditional Marvel look. After speaking to Marvel Games\u2019 Michael Francisco, Yamanaka learned that the collaboration called for ArcSys to show the Marvel game they wanted to create. This is when ArcSys leaned into the trademark manga\/anime look its games like Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus are known for.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1058\" height=\"595\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1058px) 100vw, 1058px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-002.jpg\" alt=\"Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls \" class=\"wp-image-48755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-002.jpg 1058w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-002-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/20250605-4874-002-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From Iron Man\u2019s mecha-looking suit to Ms. Marvel\u2019s anime-like appearance (complete with large eyes), you can tell that Marvel T\u014dkon: Fighting Souls is a fighting game with a Japanese visual style.
