The Pok\u00e9mon Company<\/strong> announced its financial results for the 27th fiscal year (March 2024 \u2013 February 2025) via Japan\u2019s government gazette on June 2. As reported by Otaku Soken<\/a>, the Pok\u00e9mon publisher saw sales grow by 38.1% compared to last year, reaching a record-high \u00a5410.932 billion yen ($2.9 billion USD). Growth was in the double digits across all profit metrics: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sales: 410,932 million yen (up 38.1% year-on-year) 
Operating profit: 100,749 million yen (up 13.6% year-on-year) 
Ordinary profit: 101,487 million yen (up 11.8% year-on-year) 
Net profit: 70,343 million yen (up 12.2% year-on-year) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the Pok\u00e9mon franchise didn\u2019t get a new mainline video game entry during this fiscal period, it saw the launch of the new mobile game Pok\u00e9mon TCG Pocket. The app hit 100 million downloads in its first four months and generated over $1 billion USD in gross player spending in seven months. The success of the app has contributed to historic profits for co-developer DeNA (which was previously operating at a loss, resulting in ridiculous-sounding profit growth figures<\/a> like \u201c+8,000% year-on year\u201d). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
