The voice actors shared their impressions of the upcoming re-release of Yakuza 0, including how they feel about its new scenes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u300e\u9f8d\u304c\u5982\u304f\uff10 \u8a93\u3044\u306e\u5834\u6240 Director&#039;s Cut\u300f\u767a\u58f2\u76f4\u524d \u7279\u5225\u30a4\u30f3\u30bf\u30d3\u30e5\u30fc\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yPjSOA4LwzU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kiryu\u2019s voice actor Kuroda comments that the original Yakuza 0 left many fans, himself included, curious about some loose ends. But when he received his script for&nbsp;the new scenes appearing in the Director\u2019s Cut, he found them very \u201crefreshing.\u201d Kuroda thinks that both veteran and new Like a Dragon fans will find a convincing sense of closure from these additions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Going into more specific detail about his own role, Majima\u2019s voice actor Ugaki says that the new scenes really drove home to him \u201chow dearly Majima holds Makoto and how much he wants to protect her.\u201d According to Ugaki, Yakuza 0 Director\u2019s Cut establishes even more strongly that Majima, despite his scary yakuza outer shell, possesses a kind and caring core.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1524\" height=\"851\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1524px) 100vw, 1524px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2025053-48294-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2025053-48294-001.jpg 1524w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2025053-48294-001-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2025053-48294-001-768x429.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new scenes added to Yakuza also help define the relationship between Kiryu and Kuze more clearly, according to the latter\u2019s voice actor Hitoshi Ozawa. \u201cThere are things Yakuza 0 mentioned but didn\u2019t delve into very deeply \u2013 Kuze&#8217;s new lines gave me a sense of <em>Oh, so that\u2019s how things are between them.<\/em>\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/yakuza-0-directors-cut-to-include-26-minutes-worth-of-new-cutscenes-online-mode-will-be-playable-solo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed previously<\/a> by Yakuza 0 Director\u2019s Cut producer Makoto Suzuki, the new scenes being added this time around are, as the title \u201cDirector\u2019s Cut\u201d implies, episodes that were cut from the original game, totaling around 26 minutes of extra scenes.\u00a0 Aside from these story-related additions, the new release will come with Red Light Raid \u2013 a brand-new online multiplayer mode with 60 playable characters.
