However, even though the demo <a href=\"https:\/\/touhou-project.news\/news\/13976\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was announced for a Steam release<\/a>, it seems that Steam users won\u2019t be able to play it for the time being, as it did not match Steam store\u2019s criteria and ended up getting rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent X post, Touhou series creator ZUN apologized to his fans for Fossilized Wonders\u2019 demo version being late to launch on Steam. He explains that the reason for the demo\u2019s rejection from Steam is \u201cthe game\u2019s description being too simple.\u201d He jokingly adds that he\u2019s sorry for cutting corners, leaving fans wondering just how \u201csimple\u201d the description actually was.
