Each Clair Obscur: Expedition 33<\/strong> party member has at least one swimsuit outfit that makes them look ready for a hot summer day. Most of these swimsuits can be obtained by completing activities on different Gestral Beaches, while two swimsuits are tied to a relationship quest. Here\u2019s where to get all the swimsuits so you can recreate your favorite Baywatch episodes:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Clair<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Getting Gustave\u2019s Swimsuit and Lune\u2019s Swimsuit 1 involves some simple platforming and a misleading question <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first Gestral Beach is to the west of the Gestral Village and introduces you to the Gestrals\u2019 unique brand of beach fun. To obtain Gustave\u2019s Swimsuit outfit, you must navigate a series of floating platforms and talk to the young Gestral at the end of the obstacle course.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Upon receiving Gustave\u2019s Swimsuit from the young Gestral, you can ask for another one. This prompts the Gestral to ask a rather complex question involving a two-year-old human and what age they would Gommage. You can answer correctly with \u201c17,\u201d but regardless of which number you give, the Gestral will remark that it cannot count before awarding you with Lune\u2019s black-and-white Swimsuit 1 outfit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Clair<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lune\u2019s and Sciel\u2019s Swimsuit 2 outfits require you to play a deadly game of Beach Raft Volley <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After completing Act 1 of the main story and acquiring the Swim ability for Esquie, you will be able to swim northeast of Stone Wave Cliffs and find a second Gestral Beach on the side of a corral barrier. It is here where you can take part in a mini-game called Beach Raft Volley, which involves using your character\u2019s strike ability to push oncoming Gestrals back toward the enemy Sakapatate\u2019s raft.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There are three difficulty levels in Beach Raft Volley, with higher difficulties involving bigger enemy rafts with more hit points. Completing the weakest raft challenge awards you with one Resplendent Chroma Catalyst, while the normal and strongest raft challenges award you with Lune\u2019s and Sciel\u2019s Swimsuit 2 outfits respectively.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clunkiness of character movement and the strike animation make these challenges difficult. There is a hefty recovery time after each strike, so you want to line them up properly before committing to an attack. As soon as you land a successful strike, look to the skies for the next floating Gestral. Flaming Gestrals deal more damage to rafts, so you want to prioritize them over regular Gestrals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Clair<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Monoco\u2019s Swimsuit challenge is a love letter to difficult platforming games <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With Esquie\u2019s Swim ability, head southeast from Old Lumiere to the Gestral Beach in the center of a small lake. Here you will find a tower of literal junk that must be climbed to get Monoco\u2019s fetching Swimsuit outfit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Similar to games like Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy and Chained Together, the Only-Up mini-game has you navigating vertically placed obstacles. Only-Up isn\u2019t as difficult as the games that inspired it (thanks to mechanics like zip lines, grapple points, and ledge-grabbing), but it has some tricky platforming segments. For the best results \u2013 don\u2019t sprint, and aim to landin a little before where you actually want to end up (your character sometimes rolls forward to compensate for falling.)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Clair<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Verso\u2019s Swimsuit 1 outfit has you racing against time <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Using Esquie\u2019s Swim ability one last time, you can get to another Gestral Beach just east of the island that houses the Sirene and Sirene\u2019s Dress locations. This Gestral Beach houses a race track that you must navigate within a certain time limit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Whereas Monoco\u2019s Swimsuit challenge requires precision and careful platforming, this challenge focuses on speed. You\u2019ll want to aim for the lips of the ledges so your character can grab onto them and pull themselves up. As you reach the final stretch, make for the path on the right as it takes less time to complete. Finishing the course within 38 seconds will reward you with Verso\u2019s Swimsuit 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Maelle\u2019s Swimsuit involves a lot of climbing and obstacle-dodging  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The final Gestral Beach that you can reach is located on an island to the south of the Sirene and Sirene\u2019s Dress island. You will need Esquie\u2019s Fly ability, which can be obtained by completing Act 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The challenge of this beach is to climb to the top of a wooden tower. Three columns of climbing handholds are provided, but are peppered by orbs that randomly drop. Considering how much time it takes to switch between handholds and that getting hit by a single orb forces you to the bottom, this can be one of the more difficult Gestral Beach challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trick here is to look and plan ahead. When you see an orb heading down your column, you have a few seconds to look at the succeeding waves and decide where to move. Descending back down may seem counterintuitive, but it can give you more time to plan your next move. Completing this challenge rewards you with Maelle\u2019s bright yellow Swimsuit outfit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Sciel<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sciel\u2019s Swimsuit 1 and Verso\u2019s Swimsuit 2 are tied to Sciel\u2019s sixth relationship quest\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The last two swimsuits can be obtained by completing Sciel\u2019s relationship quests. Just as you are about to reach relationship level 6, Sciel reveals to Verso that she is afraid of swimming. Verso offers to teach Sciel how to swim, prompting the two to change into swimsuits that Verso happens to carry on his person. Sciel overcomes her aquaphobia, further deepening the relationship between the two.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are nine swimsuit outfits in total: one for Gustave, two for Lune, two for Sciel, two for Verso, one for Maelle, and one for Monoco. Acquiring all the swimsuits not only gives you more cosmetic options to work with; it also awards the \u201cGestral Games\u201d achievement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
