Some Monster Hunter Wilds<\/strong> players stop playing after completing the main story<\/a>. Others call it a day after they\u2019ve hunted every monster to near extinction<\/a>. However, those dedicated enough to make it to Hunter Rank (HR) 100 will be rewarded with some easier ways to craft their endgame builds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Melding<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

More Melding Pot options aren’t exactly new content, but they help in the long run<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unlike past Monster Hunter titles that give you extra quests to complete, you only get more melding options at the Melding Pot found in Suja, Peaks of Accord. By talking to Vio, the old Wyverian lady standing near a pot, you can use the melding feature to turn unwanted materials into Melding Points that can be exchanged for random or specific decorations and Artian weapon shards. \u00a0Most of the initial melding options will be random, but after reaching HR 100, you\u2019ll be able craft more specific items that help alleviate some of the frustration of Monster Hunter Wilds\u2019 gacha systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Melding<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Most endgame weapons and armor need Slot 2 decorations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While they pale in comparison to Slot 3 decorations, being able to craft specific Slot 2 decorations can help you assemble a build suited to your tastes. For example: melding a Paralyzer Jewel II decoration for your Dual Blades without having to rely on random rolls saves you time and resources, plus it helps you get rid of materials you don\u2019t need. In exchange, you\u2019ll be able to craft a decoration suited for stunning monsters. Slot 2 decorations cost a whopping 450 Melding Points each to craft, but they are worth it if you need a specific decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Relics<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

HR 100 gives you another source of Rarity 8 Artian weapon parts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll be getting a lot of Rarity 8 Artian weapon parts as you make your way to HR 100, most of which come from hunting endgame monsters like the High Rank Tempered Arkveld<\/a>, Zoh Shia, and Rey Dau. Keep an eye out for quests that have Rarity 7 Ancient Weapon Fragments which, when appraised upon completion, turn into Rarity 8 Artian weapon parts that can be used to craft some of the strongest weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you hoard your unwanted materials until HR 100, you\u2019ll find that Vio will give you the option to meld specific Rarity 7 Artian weapon shards for 120 Melding Points apiece. You can choose between Old Weapon Shard \u2013 Blade, Old Weapon Shard \u2013 Tube, Old Weapon Shard \u2013 Disc, and Old Weapon Shard \u2013 Device \u2013 with different weapon shard combinations required to craft different weapon types. While each crafted Artian weapon shard\u2019s Element Type and Artian Bonus are still random, you\u2019ll at least be getting the Artian weapon shard type that you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Melding<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If you want to take your chances, you can also spend 80 Melding Points to craft Rarity 7 Ancient Weapon Fragments. These will give you random Artian weapon shards like those found after completing most of the Tier 3 endgame quests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some players are understandably upset with the mediocre HR 100 unlocks, being able to craft specific Slot 2 decorations and Rarity 7 Artian weapon shards gives them a little more control over their decoration and weapon rolls. If you don\u2019t mind grinding to HR 100, it might be best to save your unwanted materials for the extra Melding Pot options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
