Save for a few similarities, the two channels have a very different top 10 list:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"755\" height=\"1080\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-002-755x1080.jpg\" alt=\"Masahiro Sakurai's most viewed videos in Japanese\" class=\"wp-image-46924\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-002-755x1080.jpg 755w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-002-266x380.jpg 266w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-002-768x1099.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-002.jpg 800w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In descending order, the top three videos on the Japanese channel are &#8220;Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games: Finale Special,&#8221; &#8220;Development Secrets of the Original Kirby [Grab Bag]&#8221; and &#8220;Just Do It Already! [Work Ethic].&#8221; Sakurai makes special mention of the Kirby Air Ride video exceeding one million views, whose increased performance recently is likely due to <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/how-to-tell-if-a-kirby-game-is-designed-by-masahiro-sakurai-fans-notice-telltale-sign-in-new-kirby-air-riders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the announcement of Kirby Air Riders<\/a> during April 2&#8217;s Nintendo Direct. The planning videos for the first Super Smash Bros. fighting game and Kirby of the Stars anime (\u201cKirby: Right Back At Ya!\u201d in the West) round off the list in ninth and tenth place respectively.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"755\" height=\"1080\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-001-755x1080.jpg\" alt=\"Masahiro Sakurai's most viewed videos in English\" class=\"wp-image-46923\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-001-755x1080.jpg 755w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-001-266x380.jpg 266w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-001-768x1099.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/29250410-46919-001.jpg 800w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Over on the English channel, the top three videos are \u201cAbout This Channel\u201d (the first video uploaded to the channe;), \u201cMasahiro Sakurai on Creating Games: Finale Special,\u201d and \u201cStop for Big Moments! [Design Specifics].\u201d It should be noted that English channel viewers seem to be more Super Smash Bros.-oriented, as most of the top videos deal with the franchise and fighting game concepts (frame rates, risk and reward, and lag). Funnily enough, Sakurai\u2019s video showcasing his cat, Fukurashi, is the fifth most-viewed video on the English channel, proving once again that the internet was made for sharing cat videos.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While it\u2019s no surprise that the first and last videos as well as the game concept video for Super Smash Bros. are doing well on both the Japanese and English channels, what\u2019s more interesting is how many topics Sakurai has covered.
