Final Fantasy VII Rebirth<\/strong> took home a total of 7 honors at the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2024<\/a> held on March 15, 2025, including the prestigious Game of the Year award. Apart from Game of the Year, the Square Enix title also won awards for Best Game Developer\/Studio, Best Scenario, Best Graphics, Best Voice Actor (for Maaya Sakamoto\u2019s portrayal of Aerith Gainsborough<\/a>), Best Character (for Tifa Lockheart<\/a>), and Best RPG.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other winners at the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2024 include Metaphor: ReFantazio for Best Music<\/a> and Best Rookie (new IP), Astro Bot for Best Action Game, Rise of The Ronin for Best Action Adventure Game, Emio \u2013 The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club<\/a> for Best Adventure Game, Nine Sols for Best Indie Game, Final Fantasy XIV for Best Online Game, and Zenless Zone Zero for Best Gaming App. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Famitsu\/Dengeki Special Awards were given to Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story, Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island, and Black Myth: Wukong. Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A<\/a> also won an award as the most anticipated title for 2025.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the largest user-voted game awards show in Japan (source: Otaku Soken<\/a>), Famitsu and Dengeki collected votes from gamers in Japan from December 16, 2024 to January 13, 2025. Participants were allowed to choose from games released or distributed between January 1 and December 31, 2024, as well as ongoing live-service titles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
