While the idea of a cute cheerleader fighting zombies in a B-movie setting was conceived early on, difficulties arose when it came to naming the protagonists.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lollipop Chainsaw: Behind the Scenes #03 <br>We started with the idea of an American high school cheerleader first before deciding on the name \u201cJuliet\u201d and naturally considered naming her boyfriend \u201cRomeo\u201d, but the people at Warner Bros. told us that Romeo is  an uncool name in the\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jv5qLlVFWf\">pic.twitter.com\/jv5qLlVFWf<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \u5b89\u7530\u5584\u5df3 Yoshimi Yasuda (@yasudaD5) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yasudaD5\/status\/1899611550652182814?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 12, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Yasuda, the name \u201cJuliet\u201d came up when the developers at Grasshopper Manufacture reflected on her status as an American high school cheerleader.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After settling on Juliet\u2019s name, they naturally wanted to name her boyfriend \u201cRomeo\u201d (as a reference to the famous Shakespearean tragedy). Unfortunately, the publishers at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment told the developers that \u201cRomeo\u201d was seen as an uncool name in the United States. This led Grasshopper Manufacture to rename the character \u201cNick,\u201d which stuck in the final game.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lollipop Chainsaw -
