Two of Monster Hunter Wilds<\/strong>\u2019 paid DLCs (and undoubtedly the most controversial ones) are the Character and Palico Edit Vouchers. By paying a small sum, you can go back to the character creator and remodel your hunter or Palico as you see fit. However, Monster Hunter Wilds already allows you to edit some aspects of your characters for free<\/a>, which causes some confusion. Here are the things you can only change in the character creator by using the paid vouchers: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most biological aspects of your hunter require a Character Edit Voucher <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAppearance Preset\u201d and \u201cRandomize Face\u201d are only available by using a Character Edit Voucher, as are most of the cosmetics under \u201c(Detailed Settings)\u201d except for your hunter\u2019s hair, eyebrows\/eyelashes, eye color, mouth, facial hair, and makeup\/face paint (these options can be changed in the \u201cChange Appearance\u201d tab of the \u201cAppearance\u201d menu found in any of your Base Camp or Pop-up Camp tents). While your hunter\u2019s voice cannot be changed without a Character Edit Voucher, you can use \u201cVoice Pitch\u201d in the \u201cChange Appearance\u201d tab to make it as high or low as you want for free. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general rule of thumb is that anything your character was born with (their skin color, eye shape, nose, face shape, and physique) can only be changed with a voucher. There are many exceptions to the rule, however, so be sure to check which aspects you want to change before using a Character Edit Voucher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing your Palico is more flexible <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are far more options available when it comes to changing your Palico\u2019s appearance. Save for the \u201cAppearance Preset\u201d, type of ears, cheek fullness, and voice, everything else can be changed for free. If you forgot to turn the \u201cFelyne Language\u201d option on before starting the game and find it weird that a Felyne can speak in human languages, you can still do so from the \u201cChange Appearance\u201d tab at any of your camps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capcom was kind enough to give each player one Character and Palico Edit Voucher for free, which can be redeemed from the Monster Hunter Wilds online game store. Simply browsing through the \u201cEdit Hunter\u201d or \u201cEdit Palico\u201d menus won\u2019t cost you a voucher either, so feel free to peruse before settling on a look that you like<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
