Pok\u00e9mon Center Online has issued an apology for a bug that occurred after their revamped website was launched, which caused personal information to be leaked to other customers. According to the apology notice<\/a>, this happened 326 times in the 6-minute-period after the redesigned site opened. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the name suggests, Pok\u00e9mon Center Online is the Pok\u00e9mon Center\u2019s official online store in Japan. It sells all kinds of Pok\u00e9mon-related merchandise, from trading cards to plushies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The issue with the Pok\u00e9mon Center Online\u2019s revamped website occurred on February 28 between 10:00am and 10:36am. It affected some customers who opened new accounts on the site during this period. Instead of being registered under their own email, they ended up being registered under another customer’s email. In some instances, this caused information such as their name and shipping address to be leaked to the holder of the email address their account was mistakenly registered under. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The staff of the Pok\u00e9mon Center Online staff were quick to spot this bug, and shut down the site for emergency maintenance at 10:36am. They have since issued individual apology emails to those who may have been impacted by the issue. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
