Square Enix\u2019s president and CEO Takashi Kiryu announced<\/a> on February 27 that the company will be making revisions to its management structure. From April 1, 2025, Square Enix will establish a new management committee and appoint new executive officers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The changes come as part of Square Enix\u2019s efforts to implement its new medium-term management plan<\/a>, which was announced in May last year. This management plan defines targets such as: regular releases of AAA titles, a focus on quality over quality, prioritization of in-house development, an \u201caggressive\u201d shift to multi-platform game releases, and bolder IP creation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new management committee will consist of Kiryu and seven other executives overseeing Square Enix\u2019s game, publishing and corporate sectors. Its purpose is to speed up decision-making at the management level and accelerate the execution of the company\u2019s business reforms. The members of the committee will be tasked with making sure that Square Enix\u2019s mid-term business plan is put into action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
