Due to Switch and software sales performing \u201cbelow expectations,\u201d Nintendo saw operating profit decrease by 46.7% year-on-year. As a result, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/nintendo-lowers-targets-in-earnings-forecast-for-the-full-fiscal-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">revised its forecast<\/a>, announcing that its net profit for the full fiscal year is expected to be 270 billion yen, down 45% from the previous fiscal year (source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nikkei.com\/article\/DGXZQOFL050F00V00C25A2000000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Nikkei Shimbun<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, with the Switch 2\u2019s launch right around the corner, the market responded calmly to the downward revision, and Nintendo\u2019s shares continued to rise.
