The results also gave insight into how Japanese elementary school children typically tend to enjoy the holiday season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between November 15 and December 13, 2024, CoroCoro Comic asked elementary school boys about their Christmas expectations and memories (as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pashplus.jp\/other_content\/388861\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pach Plus<\/a>). When asked what they were most looking forward to at Christmas, 91.8% said receiving presents. This was followed by eating cake (12.7%) and having a meal (10.7%).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked what they wanted for Christmas, almost 10% of the boys replied with Beyblade X (9.9%). Beyblade received more answers than the Nintendo Switch console (Lite and OLED models) in second place (at 6.6%), video games in third place (6%) and Pok\u00e9mon trading cards in fourth place (4.5%).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"565\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/20250204-43653-header.jpg\" alt=\"Beyblade X\" class=\"wp-image-43656\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/20250204-43653-header.jpg 900w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/20250204-43653-header-380x239.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/20250204-43653-header-768x482.jpg 768w\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Beyblade X (image: <a href=\"https:\/\/beybase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/beyblade-x-buyers-guide-2024-1024x768.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Beybase)<\/a><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyblade debuted in 1999, spawning a manga and anime series. Since then, the spinning top-style toys and their launchers have become popular in countries around the world, with some 5 billion Beyblade tops selling in the US by 2003 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.newspapers.com\/article\/el-paso-times\/147924457\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">El Paso Times<\/a>). Twenty years later in 2023, the toy\u2019s fourth generation Beyblade X was released complete with a new manga and anime. Beyblade X had a big push in marketing, with real life tournaments showing how the toy\u2019s fanbase now spans multiple generations, helping it maintain its enduring popularity (source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/olliebarder\/2024\/06\/26\/beyblade-is-bouncing-back-with-its-latest-iteration-beyblade-x\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Forbes<\/a>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also possible that many of the kids surveyed already have a Nintendo Switch, or maybe they are hoping that Santa will bring them a <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/people-are-already-poking-fun-at-nintendo-switch-2s-literal-stick-drift-in-announcement-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Switch 2 once it releases<\/a>.
