Although these themes were referred to as \u201climited time\u201d from the outset, this decision has still prompted some&nbsp;disappointment on social media. The good news is that these themes will likely be coming back in a later update.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark the original PlayStation\u2019s 30<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary, Sony <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/ps5-gets-nostalgic-menu-and-startup-themes-for-playstation-30th-anniversary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">introduced special menu themes for the PS5<\/a> in the December 3 system software update. The PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 themes feature each console\u2019s respective start-up sounds and visuals, instantly giving gamers a huge nostalgia hit.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to official PlayStation account posts on X in both English and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PlayStation_jp\/status\/1885120895137833384\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Japanese<\/a>, it seems Sony received a lot of positive feedback about these throwbacks to previous console generations.
