The cube can be moved with a ring-shaped controller or programmed to follow commands via a computer. Sony created toio to foster creativity in children and teach aspiring computer wizards the basics of programming. The toios in the collaboration video were programmed by the product development team, which explains why the toys are so well synchronized. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PlayStation_jp\/status\/1876464021739876502\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sony adds that no CGI was used<\/a> to make the dance part of the collaboration video.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250108-42486-001.jpg\" alt=\"Astro Bot Sony toio New Year collaboration video\" class=\"wp-image-42492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250108-42486-001.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250108-42486-001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/20250108-42486-001-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Atop each of the 50 toios stands an Astro Bot or Pipo Monkey cutout. These designs will be made available for free on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playstation.com\/ja-jp\/games\/astro-bot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Astro Bot webpage<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PlayStation_jp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official PlayStation Japan X account<\/a> at a later date. Even if you don\u2019t own a toio, you\u2019ll still be able to create a cute cutout of Astro Bot or a Pipo Monkey to liven up your desk.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astro Bot took the gaming world by surprise last year, amassing over 100 Game of The Year awards from different publications and <a href=\"https:\/\/twistedvoxel.com\/astro-bot-over-100-game-of-the-year-awards-surpassing-it-takes-two\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">surpassing Hazelight Studios\u2019 It Takes Two as the most-awarded platformer<\/a>.
