Bad Wish Games has announced that the first episode of the psychological horror game Welcome to Doll Town<\/strong> will be released on February 14, 2025. It will be available for free on PC, Mac, Xbox, PS5, and mobile platforms, with a Switch release to come later. It will be playable in six languages including English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to Doll Town puts you in the shoes of a Japanese school student as you explore a cursed Japanese town. You must investigate the tragic events that befell the town\u2019s residents- who are lifelike dolls made from flesh and bone. However, there is a sinister puppet master behind the scenes and the game will make you question what is real and what is just a horrific illusion in this twisted town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game\u2019s low-poly graphic style, foggy streets and melee battles strongly echo the original Silent Hill that was first released on the PlayStation 1 in 1999. Welcome to Doll Town promises to deliver a story-driven experience in which you must solve puzzles and defeat each of the seven dolls to try to get to the bottom of what is happening. It seems like the game will also contain various Silent Hill series references that will be familiar to fans- such as \u201cIt\u2019s Bread.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

D42mon<\/a>, the solo developer behind the project, announced<\/a> on December 30 that they will be releasing Welcome to Doll Town in episode format. The decision was made so that the developer can focus on consistently releasing high-quality episodes while listening to and incorporating player feedback into future installments. Episode 1 will be made available for free to players on all platforms on\u00a0February 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s more, the developer has also announced that a free demo of Welcome to Doll Town will be available on Steam prior to Episode 1\u2019s release, giving curious players a chance to try out the PS1 era-inspired indie horror game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
