Players can pick a mech type (sniper, brawler, defender etc.) to match their playstyle, fully customize their craft and pilot, then take to the skies with teammates to do battle in 3v3, 6v6 and PvPvE modes. Since its announcement, Mecha BREAK\u2019s popularity has grown, with the August beta test maintaining a steady 40,000 concurrent players on Steam (source: <a href=\"https:\/\/steamdb.info\/app\/3016800\/charts\/#1w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SteamDB).<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mecha BREAK - Game Mode Trailer | The Game Awards 2024\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/alXPwfMoNjs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In an email interview, we asked the development team in more detail about what new additions, changes and improvements we can expect to see in Mecha BREAK\u2019s full release (the entire interview can be found on our <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/articles\/interviewsjp\/mecha-break-20241218-322230\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Japanese sister site)<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, the dev team revealed that they have been hard at work tweaking and optimizing the game. This includes improvements based on player feedback, improving the <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/mecha-break-producer-hints-at-new-mech-and-pilot-customization-options-explorable-space-stations-and-even-a-pilot-combat-mode\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hangar exploration<\/a> sections, balancing mech types, and coming up with new elements to surprise players. The previous version of PvPvE was battle royale based, however feedback from players highlighted balancing difficulties, with certain mech types and team compositions having a tough time. The devs have been hard at work balancing out PvPvE battles in accordance with this feedback.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-003.jpeg\" alt=\"Mecha BREAK battles\" class=\"wp-image-41960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-003.jpeg 1200w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-003-380x214.jpeg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-003-768x432.jpeg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this balancing, Mecha BREAK\u2019s PvPvE mode will be getting weaponized gliders, as seen in The Game Awards trailer. You&#8217;ll be able to obtain these gliders from airdrops or by defeating glider-riding NPCs. These gliders will not only allow players to quickly move across the vast battlefield, but they are also equipped with different types of weapons. This means that they can be used to balance out the weakness of your particular mech (e.g. a Light Sniper could take advantage of a glider equipped with melee weaponry), and possibly turn the tide of battle in your team\u2019s favor. \u201cThe aim is to provide players with a smoother, more satisfying experience on the battlefield,\u201d the devs comment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-001.jpeg\" alt=\"Mecha BREAK release date new PvPvE mode\" class=\"wp-image-41956\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-001.jpeg 1200w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-001-380x214.jpeg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/20241224-41951-001-768x432.jpeg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The PvPvE mode battles will now also contain more diverse elements. For example, NPCs can suddenly interfere in player-on-player combat, adding more variables to the fast-paced battles. \u201cWe are aiming to create an environment imbued with realistic tension, where players must always be on guard on the vast battlefield,\u201d the development team explains. Massive boss fights will also take place in PvPvE mode.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights of the August beta test was the game\u2019s extensive customization features, leading <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/mecha-break-devs-say-a-surprising-number-of-testers-spent-more-time-beautifying-their-mechs-than-battling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many players to spend significant time beautifying their mechs and pilots<\/a>.
