{"id":40777,"date":"2024-12-04T10:35:20","date_gmt":"2024-12-04T01:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/?p=40777"},"modified":"2024-12-04T20:59:58","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T11:59:58","slug":"new-gundam-anime-to-be-co-produced-by-evangelions-studio-khara-with-a-scenario-by-hideaki-anno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/nongaming-news\/new-gundam-anime-to-be-co-produced-by-evangelions-studio-khara-with-a-scenario-by-hideaki-anno\/","title":{"rendered":"New Gundam anime to be co-produced by Evangelion\u2019s studio Khara, with a scenario by Hideaki Anno\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During the \u201cGundam Conference Winter 2024\u201d event held on December 4, Bandai Namco announced the brand-new Gundam TV anime series<strong> Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Special Announcement Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LnMIaFV4q6M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The upcoming new installment of the Gundam series will be produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks\u2019 studio Sunrise and Hideaki Anno\u2019s studio Khara, which is best known for the Rebuild of Evangelion film tetralogy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX will be directed by FLCL director Kazuya Tsurumaki, with a scenario co-written by Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno (who happens to be working on a <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/nongaming-news\/evangelion-creator-given-high-degree-of-freedom-to-make-new-space-battleship-yamato-movie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new Space Battleship Yamato movie<\/a> too) and Yoji Enokido, who has written scripts for Sailor Moon, Utena, Evangelion, FLCL, and other popular titles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plot of the new anime series is described on the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.gundam.info\/about-gundam\/series-pages\/gquuuuuux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official homepage<\/a> as follows:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#eaeaea\"><em>Amate Yuzuriha is a high-school student living peacefully in a space colony floating in outer space.<\/em>&nbsp;<br><br><em>When she meets a war refugee named Nyaan, Amate is drawn into the illegal mobile suit dueling sport known as Clan Battle.<\/em>&nbsp;<br><br><em>Under the entry name &#8220;Machu,&#8221; she throws herself into fierce battle day after day, piloting the GQuuuuuuX.
