Part of the fun in the sun of Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation<\/strong> (DOAXVV) <\/strong>is collecting limited outfits for your favorite girls in the game. As the live service title approaches its 7th<\/sup> anniversary, Producer Yasunori Sakuda was recently asked about DOAXVV\u2019s sexy swimwear, dropping some behind-the-scenes insight on why it took so long for a maid style costume to get added into the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japanese gaming news outlet 4Gamer<\/a> asked Sakuda which of DOAXVV\u2019s many swimwear designs have been the most popular over the years. Sakuda replied that this was difficult to answer. \u201cAll of our players have different tastes, so we can\u2019t determine which is most popular,\u201d adding that the \u201c \u2018Kimagure nyan maid\u2019 outfit that was added for the 6.5-year anniversary seems to have been well received.\u201d He is referring to the black and white maid outfit with cat ears and tail below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although cute maid outfits may seem like an obvious choice for a game like DOAXVV, surprisingly, Sakuda reveals that \u201cUp until then, we had deliberately not made any maid-themed swimsuits. (…) This was because Marie Rose\u2019s occupation is maid, so we wondered if it would be okay to have someone other than her wear such an outfit.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently, the decision to exclude maid-themed swimsuits from the game was made to ensure that Marie Rose retained this element which makes her stand out from the other Venuses.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marie Rose first debuted as the servant of Helena Douglas in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arcade. \u201cHowever, in DOAXVV, Marie\u2019s image began to change, and we were able to strengthen her appeal through her True Color update. That\u2019s when we decided to lift the ban on maid-style swimsuits.\u201d Sakuda reveals. \u201cWe made this decision together as a team, and I\u2019m glad we implemented (the Whimsical cat maid swimsuit) as it was very well received.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for Sakuda\u2019s favorite swimsuit, he says he really likes the Radiant Red SSR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
