Many theories have been made regarding the presence or illusion of choice when it comes to opening booster packs in the successful card mobile game Pok\u00e9mon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket<\/a>. These include rumors of bent packs holding rare cards<\/a> and players delving into the game\u2019s code<\/a> to show that your choice doesn\u2019t matter. An email conversation between gaming website Polygon<\/a> and The Pok\u00e9mon Company International sadly doesn\u2019t help put matters to rest, as the developers chose to withhold any information regarding digital booster pack openings:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile Pok\u00e9mon Trading Card Game Pocket draws inspiration from the experience of opening physical Pok\u00e9mon TCG booster packs, we are unable to share specifics at this time.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opening booster packs in Pok\u00e9mon TCG Pocket is one of the biggest draws of the title. Players are given two chances to choose and open two booster packs per day after a set amount of time has passed. The pack-opening process can be expedited by using in-game items like Pack Hourglasses or by purchasing a Premium Pass with real money.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of this pack-choosing matter is the process of picking and opening booster packs, which starts you off by allowing you to choose from the Charizard, Mewtwo, or Pikachu Genetic Apex pack pools. These packs are the ones players have been scratching their heads over regarding their contents and rare card probabilities.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
