Ahead of the launch, Capcom released an Official Online Manual detailing the game\u2019s multiplayer features.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/manual.capcom.com\/mhwilds\/beta\/en\/steam\/page\/6\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">manual<\/a>, the online multiplayer lobbies in Monster Hunter Wilds will be much larger in scale than they were in past entries. \u201cIn multiplayer, players join lobbies, which are used to connect them with other players. However, it might be important to note that Capcom has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/monsterhunter\/status\/1847261825609376087\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a> that \u201cup to 16 of the players in a lobby will be displayed at the same time in each of the various base camps.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The manual for Monster Hunter Wilds online lobbies details some other interesting features too, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/manual.capcom.com\/mhwilds\/beta\/en\/steam\/page\/6\/3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Link Parties<\/a>. These are ad hoc parties that you can form even with players from other lobbies. They come with dedicated text and voice channels, and allow you to continue hunting together even after finishing quests.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1519\" height=\"854\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1519px) 100vw, 1519px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241029-39024-001.jpg\" alt=\"Monster Hunter Wilds beta\" class=\"wp-image-39031\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241029-39024-001.jpg 1519w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241029-39024-001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241029-39024-001-768x432.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2246340\/Monster_Hunter_Wilds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>) on February 28, 2025. The PS Plus-exclusive early open beta test will be held from October 29 to October 31.
