<\/figure>\n\n\n\nPhase one of the Flesh Lip boss fight consists of the monster trying to surprise you with overhead attacks and grabs. Using the shaking ceiling tiles as clues, you can track the Flesh Lip\u2019s movements and dodge when it drops from the ceiling. Successfully dodging the Flesh Lip will leave it open to damage, so make liberal use of your firearms and melee weapons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the Flesh Lip has had enough, it will return through the ceiling and attempt another drop attack or grab. Take note of the ceiling tiles that break in areas where the Flesh Lip drops. You can use the holes in the ceiling to keep the Flesh Lip in your sights and get some cheeky gunshots in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking of gunshots, you will notice that one of the Flesh Lip\u2019s flesh arms holds onto a ceiling beam whenever it drops down. Shooting this arm will cause the boss to fall and get stunned, leaving it vulnerable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Aside from drop attacks and grabs, the Flesh Lip will occasionally try to smack you with its bed frame appendages. These attacks have a wide horizontal range, so be careful when dodging them. Dealing enough damage to the Flesh Lip will cause it to extend four of its bed frame appendages and drop down to the floor, signaling the start of phase two. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Flesh Lip\u2019s moveset gets more varied in phase two. Its deadliest move is a charge attack where it runs in a straight line before stabbing whatever is in front of it (i.e. you). This attack is telegraphed by the Flesh Lip slightly crouching down to prepare for the attack. Watch out for this animation and be ready to dodge when the Flesh Lip executes it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n You won\u2019t always have the luxury of dodging, however, as the Flesh Lip has an annoying roar that stuns and leaves you open to follow-up attacks. While you can\u2019t do anything while stunned, it might be better to distance yourself from the Flesh Lip when you think a roar is coming. This way, you\u2019ll only have to worry about the Flesh Lip\u2019s charge attack and not its other moves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Flesh Lip\u2019s close-range moves are heavy hitters, as they are prolonged and deal a ton of damage. When at close range, the Flesh Lip will attempt to swipe at you horizontally with its bed frame appendages. This attack covers a wide area and should be dodged backward to avoid getting clipped by it. It also has a 3-4-hit combo that consists of forward-moving stomps. Quick and deadly, the stomp combo always starts with the Flesh lip raising its right bed frame appendage. Dodging sideways will make it harder for the boss to track you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you thought the Flesh Lip was done jumping into the ceiling, think again. The Flesh Lip will sometimes ignore you and climb up into the ceiling, only to drop back down and surprise you with a charge attack. Be careful when the Flesh Lip decides to peace out in the middle of battle and be ready to dodge once it reappears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Flesh Lip is deadlier in phase two but keeping a safe distance makes this fight much easier. Pepper the Flesh Lip with gunfire (its exposed body is much easier to hit in the second phase), watch for that charge attack, and you\u2019ll soon find yourself being transported to the Otherworld version of Brookhaven Hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Struggling with other Silent Hill 2 remake bosses?
