Under the agreement, Cygames will become the partner of the $2 million Cygames Breeders\u2019 Cup Sprint, which will be held on November 2 at this year\u2019s Breeders\u2019 Cup World Championships in California.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Umamusume Pretty Derby is a popular anime and game franchise set in a world where famous racehorses are reborn as cute anime girls. The game Umamusume Pretty Derby has you take on the role of a trainer to these horse girls, which are named after real-life Japanese racehorses. Since its release in 2021, it has become one of Japan\u2019s most popular mobile games, and an <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/one-of-japan-best-selling-mobile-games-umamusume-pretty-derby-to-get-english-release\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">English language version is currently in the works<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Umamusume: Pretty Derby \u2013 Girls&#039; Legend U (Opening Movie)\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4fZNU-T8rFM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the release date for the English version is still TBA, the partnership between Breeders&#8217; Cup and Cygames will \u201cmark the upcoming launch of the English version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby.\u201d- so fans can likely expect the game to come out sometime in the near future.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the partnership, Cygames\u2019 president Koichi Watanabe <a href=\"https:\/\/breederscup.com\/news\/2024\/breeders-cup-announces-new-partnership-with-cygames\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">commented<\/a>, \u201cCygames&#8217; mission is to bring \u2018The Best in Entertainment\u2019 to a global audience through our works and public endeavors. As part of that vision, we are releasing the English language version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, a game heavily influenced by the world of horse racing. Our hope is to forge a relationship with racing enthusiasts through our partnership with the Breeders&#8217; Cup and provide another avenue for potential fans to discover our content.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the first time that Cygames has partnered with real-life organizations related to horseracing- <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/20240304-27999\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">it is a longtime supporter of the Retired Racehorse Association of Japan<\/a> charity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/umamusume.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Umamusume Pretty Derby<\/a> is scheduled to be released on iOS and Android, release date still TBA.
